Christine Passey-Spencer, BSW

Firm Administrator and Case Manager

Christine has always been dedicated to a career where she can make a difference in people's lives. She went to the University of Utah where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2008.

Christine worked at various non-profit organizations throughout her career as a Case Manager, Grant Writer, and Program Director. She focused her early career on the elderly and hospice until her oldest daughter was diagnosed with autism which shifted her focus to disabilities. Fighting for her daughter’s needs, and for people with disabilities in general, catapulted her into Utah Politics.

In 2012, 2013 and 2014 Christine fought with insurance lobbyists to pass an Autism Insurance Mandate in Utah. In 2014 and 2016 she ran for the Utah House of Representatives winning on election night both years, but subsequently losing at the final canvass by razor thin margins. She was also a member of Salt Lake City Mayor Biskupski's Administration in 2016 and 2017 as Salt Lake City's ADA Coordinator.

Upon stepping away from politics Christine found her love for legislation, laws and case law, and her dedication to helping people, collided perfectly in Family Law and began her career in family law in early 2018.

Christine and Dan (Owner/Managing Attorney of Spencer Family Law) were married in 2017 and decided to start Spencer Family Law together in late 2018. After years of managing the firm they still really enjoy working together. They have four children between the ages of 9-13, two dogs, and a gaggle of adopted squirrels and birds they feed and watch.
